Bunker Process<\/h3><\/p>\n


The process of providing fuel to a ship is called \"bunkering\". Here are the general steps in the process:
\n\n ◉ Bunker Request: The ship will send a bunker request to the company providing the bunker service, which is usually called the bunker supplier or bunker agent. This request includes the type of fuel, the amount required, and the desired time for the bunkering process.
\n◉ Scheduling: The bunker company will schedule the bunkering process based on tanker availability, number of requests, and weather conditions.
\n ◉ Tanker Inspection: Before the bunkering process begins, the tanker will be inspected to ensure the quality of the fuel and the condition of the tanker itself.
\n ◉ Hose Connection: A special hose will be connected between the tanker and the ship to be bunkered.
\n ◉ Fuel Transfer: Fuel is then pumped from the tanker to fuel storage tanks on the ship.
